Korean Inspired Fashion - A Lovely Origami Grey Dress!

I don't really like grey dresses but this is a number that captured my attention when I first laid eyes on it. Particularly, I find myself attracted to the origami style embellishment at the cut-in neckline which I thought is rather unique and definitely adds a focal interest in this otherwise simple design. And this dress comes with a surprise - an eye-catching open style strapped design at the back. This lovely number is now available at Lace And Buttons so head on down and have a look!

Meanwhile, here are more pictures of this romantic Korean inspired design!

See you again soon!

Contemporary European Fashion Style With Houndstooth Trend!

Just a quick post to start off the week!

The Houndstooth trend in Fashion has been ongoing since last year and I have since been exposed to numerous related designs since I am working in the Fashion industry. However, nothing quite catches my eye like this classy number, which is not only flattering for most body shapes, but also exudes a minimalist elegance. A timeless piece that I adore and am so happy that it matches so well with my new Spiral monochrome hat ; Together, a sophisticated contemporary European style look is achieved.

To end off, here are more pictures of this gorgeous dress which will be launched tomorrow at Lace And Buttons. Do keep a look out!

Till next time.

My Journey in Art... At Arteastiq, Concept Art Jamming Tea Lounge

Sponsored

In one of my weekly catch-ups with my sister, I was told by her that she had recently attended a Art Jamming session as part of her company's team building activity. Having had a strong foundation in Art and Craft, my sister really had fun throughout the event. Interestingly, she shared with me that even many of her colleagues who does not have much experience in this area also find the whole process truly enjoyable and relaxing.

As such, imagine my delight when I was offered an opportunity to participate in a Art Jamming session at the unique concept Tea Lounge, Arteastiq!  As a child, I had always enjoyed my Art classes but had since "lost touch". The last time I constructed a proper piece of Art was at least 10 years ago!
When I arrived for my scheduled Art Jamming session at Arteastiq located in Mandarin Gallery Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was already packed with a class of Art enthusiasts. Everyone seems ready to spring into action and it was no exception for me! After receiving a basic introduction of how Art Jamming works at Arteastiq, I proceeded to work on (what I hoped) will be a masterpiece -

Everyone was focusing hard on their painting!
I borrowed a book on acrylic painting to get some inspiration
Choosing a picture from the book to draw
Initial Sketching....
After Some Testing and Mixing Around With Colors, I Finally Got One Flower Painted! Hurray! It Gets Easier After That :)
Moving On.....
Finishing Touches....
AND DONE!

Personally, I found the whole process really therapeutic; all my stress and worries flew out the window during the time I focused on constructing my Art piece! I enjoyed the experience so much that I decided to find out a little more about the benefits associated with Art and Craft through the Internet.
Why get involved with Art?

- It can improves one's self-confidence as it is challenging yet not to the extent of mentally exhausting.

- It is helpful in the treatment of depression and reducing stress as it can create "feel-good" chemicals in the human brain.

-  It can be used to treat drug addiction due to its therapeutic nature.

- It can improve mental agility as one learns the ability to create and transform materials into something useful.
Arteastiq also provides art stripes for customers to paint on as decoration for their very own custom make tote bag!

Apart from the obvious benefits of getting involved in Art, of course it also really helps to find a place that provide a conducive and fun-filled environment for its customers to work in!

And if preferred,

- You can also enjoy a light meal at the adjoining tea lounge before or after your Art Jamming session.

My Photographer Treated Himself To The Yummy Hazelnut Blencelato During His Break Time At The Beautifully Decorated Tea Lounge
After almost 3.5 hours of intense Art Jamming, I left Arteastiq with a strong sense of self satisfaction and a lifted spirit! For first timers or Art beginners, one thing to note is that there will be an additional cost of $5 per hour outside the allocated 3 hours slot. Therefore, it is best to start off with more basic choices when selecting your sample if you wish to finish your work without incurring additional charges.

All in all, if you are looking for an unique experience or just want to release your inner artist, I am sure you will know where to go next time :)!
