If you are someone who loves to eat but at the same time have to battle with weight issues consistently, I am sure u will agree with me that having to go on a diet is a very painful process. Surrounded by mouth watering local food like Hainanese chicken rice and Katong laksa, it is really challenging to keep up a diet regime without breaking some rules (who can resist dessert, especially if it's ice-cream or cheesecake!) Sometimes, those of us who went on a diet managed to pull through the process with pretty encouraging results. For myself though, it is more often than not that I failed to see through the whole process. Having the trained eyes of a style coach, I have the benefit of knowing exactly what to wear to look great by cleverly covering up my flaws. As such, I was not too driven to lose those extra kilograms I have gained from frequently eating out during social gatherings.
The motivation to lose some extra inches finally came onto me strongly when I decided to start my own online fashion business, Lace and Buttons. You may be wondering what has starting a new business to do with losing weight? In my case, I have to take the plunge because I have decided to take some publicity pictures wearing Lace and Buttons' apparels!
Standing at only five feet tall, I am considered very short by most people! To make up for my deficiency in the height department, I guess I had to at the very least, look more slender for the camera. And that is how the motivation to start a diet plan came about for me.
Having only less than 3 weeks to lose some weight, I have no choice but to go on a crash diet course, having only one proper meal a day (I did make sure to have some light and healthy snacks whenever needed, to make sure that my health does not suffer). Below are my shots after two weeks of dieting:
Luxurious Floral Long Dress and 22K Gold Necklace and earrings set now available at www.laceandbuttons.com
Chic jumpsuit with wide legged pants and Naeva Swarovski Crystal Earrings from www.laceandbuttons.com
While I may not be an outstanding model, I do hope that I have given women a belief that even a normal person of average look and size can look beautiful and confident when clad in the right apparels.
Guess what I did right after the photoshoot?
A sumptuous meal at a local Indian restaurant, food prepared by Mr Sahid, the head chef!
The very first photoshoot for Lace and Button's apparels was held smoothly in November. Here are some of the pictures:

Will be updating future articles with more pictures soon...Keep a look out!
